Thick-walled, soft flesh, high marketability and eating qualities


Antei - Mid-ripening variety. From full sprouting of the plants to technical maturity of fruits are 125-135 days to biological – 145-160 days. Spreading, tall-growing plant is about 60-70 cm. Conically-prismatic fruits are very big – 200-300 g with a wall thickness 6-8 mm. In the industrial ripeness fruits are light-green, in a biological ripeness they are red. In industrial ripeness fruits contain 7,0-8.3% of dry basis, 4.3-6.7% of saccharose, 92,4-128,7 mg% of ascorbic acid. Good eating qualities. It is resistant to vascular disease. Antei is characterized by stable accumulation of ascorbic acid. It is grown through seedling. The age of seedling depends on the aim of production use. To receive fruits for processing 25-45 days seedling are planted out. Planting system depends on irrigation method (70x15 - sprinkler irrigation, 90+50 x 20 cm – drop irrigation). The recommended plant population is 65-70 thousand plants per hectare. The yield is 60-70 t/ha.
