Lettuce KACHANNYI (type Iceberg)

Juicy crispy leaves, excellent marketability and eating qualities

Kachannyi  - Mid-ripening variety of head lettuce (50-55 days). It is ideal for fresh market requirements. Plant forms round-shaped heads. Average weight of fruit is 300-450 g. Inner leaves are well-developed and they abscise easy. Crispy juicy leaves have intense green colour. They contain calcium, iron, and full complex of vitamins. Variety is valuable for it's high eating qualities and excellent marketability, has relative resistance to deceases and bolting. It is suitable for fresh consuming. The yield at the open ground is 1,5-2,5 kg/m². It is recommended to grow in an open ground or green-houses. You can grow it through seedling or sowing. To receive fresh production for a long time assembly-line method of growing is recommended. The interval between sowing should be 7-10 days.
